That Sigma part you mentioned is their asic for the zv port interface.
this chip is part of the chip set used in their reference design for a PCMCIA MPEG decoder card. (ie the Zoomed video card)
It sounds like Sigma is using it in other pcmcia designs to handle digital audio and video throught the PCMCIA slot.
Don't know the status of Sigma's own MPEG chip. (I heard it was not going to be power efficient enough for the ZV card.)

Anyone have more information to add here?
