I disagree. JCP has a great future. In fact JCP and Sears may ultimately have more to gain from the internet in the future than any of these absurd internet plays. Sears and JCP which have always done much of their business through catalogues are a natural to convert much of their business to the net.

Eckerds by themselves probably justify a price of 35-38 dollars a share. The turkeys are the traders who rather bid up the AOLs, Yahoos, eBays, Amazons with their infinite PE ratios than in invest in companies with good sound infrastructure. I am also concerned about the lack of good leadership and poor purchasing decisions by the management and hope that this will change in the future. However Eckerds is a well run subdivison of JCP which should hold the price of the stock well until JCP can get their act together.
