"Shopping is a social experience." Not everyone one wants, needs or has the time for THAT particular social experience! As to most of your "Do you want..." questions, some people DON'T want or need the social experiences that you seem to. This is my favorite of your rhetorical questions: "Do you want the vicarious thrill that comes with spending money in public or do you want to make private purchases from your den?" Huh? Really? I'll go for the private purchases! In any event, you are forgetting the "showroom" aspect of the Household Direct network. So, you can get your thrills and still save money. "I get no kick from champagne, mere alcohol doesn't thrill me at all, but I get a kick out of you......" and the ever pervasive "...different strokes for different folks." You might be surprised at the number of people who get a "thrill" out of ordering from their den, but I doubt it. I can't imagine that you are not familiar with the success of TV shopping channels. In others words, I don't find your rationale concerning the "business plan" rational. Bill
