Asking for a fair comparison between cyber and rt3 is a very valid question.

The reason I'm reading this thread is similar to jb's--I'm not sure what questions to ask and since I cant try out cyber without opening an account the only alternative is to ask and listen.. The broker tends to give you an idealized version of things.

From what I have heard so far I agree that it sounds like jb was given pretty weak info. I think that cyber has something pretty similar to the arca system built into the software where it will automatically preference the ECN's and the MM's in an order you choose.

What I'm waiting to hear is how well people actually think this works. One comment earlier on the thread said that they had difficulties with cancels on the "smart" executions.

I would also like to add that so far I have not heard about anything that is in the RT3 software that does not have some rough equivilant in cyber. Cyber overall seems to be the better software, but remember I have never used it.

I'm also still trying to determine if I got a cyber account whether I would have less problems with the data feed than with RT3. Its all about how good a job they do compressing the data for a modem link. The feedback I've read so far doesnt give me lots of hope I'll be able to use cyber until cable modems come to my area.
