Bill, I would suspect a main reason they haven't major orders from domestic manufacturers lies in the fact that the real issue is getting the manufacturing process right so they can produce in quantity. Its one thing to produce a product in small quantities that meet certain technical specs. It is quite another to produce in the large quantities that someone like Motorola would demand. While I certainly don't know for sure, the main reason for the delay has been in getting the kinks out of the manufacturing process. Now that they have (witness the Hanil announcement), they can go to the OEMs and say they can manufacture in quantity and still meet the necessary technical specs.
