What galls me is thay actually think they can interprete the reason the market moves. While a Greenspan missive very well can move the whole market, I think those missives / situations are rare. In general there is a certain chaos in the way the market moves based on who's buying and who's selling. I'd settle if they'd just report vs. explaining ; and worrying about all us novices out here who are gonna panic at the first sign of a bear market. Condscending? yes!
Also many of those older Wall Street guys have no earthly idea of what the internet is about, in my opinion. And I suspect they are resentful and scared about that ignorance. I'd be worried too if the equivelant of the Guttenberg press was happening before my very eyes and I had no grasp of the significance or potential.
