Dave, your analysis is right on target. Nobody knows what royalty agreements Fonar has with Hitachi, Phillips and Siemens, precisely for the reason you mentioned . . . to improve their negotiating position with the holdouts. You can bet that GE and Toshiba are going to have to pay a helluva lot more than the early settlers did.

As has been pointed out numerous times on these threads, Fonar's R&D is second to none and continues to crank out improvements protected by new patents that will lead to still more royalty agreements now that the big boys know Fonar can protect their intellectual property. There's also the little matter of infringement by all of the buyers of machines from GE, Toshiba, etc. containing Fonar's stolen technology. Most of you don't realize that two such GE customers were also losing defendants in the GE suit. The seller of those machines will have to bear responsibility for their customer's liability. Potentially, that could be a HUGE sum!

As for Fonar's loss carryforwards sheltering their income . . . Forget it! The GE award will wipe that out in the year received.
