10X could happen in time with advent of QCOM end product line in PC area AND expansion of global positioning systems in automobiles with more features gradually added over the palmtop model... Gilder expects Nokia and QCOM to be the #1, #2 PC mfrs by y2005... not gonna happen suddenly, but gradually first come the webphone next month with shitty data access speeds... what, 14-17k baud? ... then in 7-8 months comes 1.2 megabit speed... if features arrive in timely fashion with keen email software, neat usable net browser GPS systems will become very big in next two years in the automobile sector... Microsoft already is playing here with expensive $2000 unit... wouldnt be surprised to see standard GPS mapguides in cars by 2002-3... why not the equivalent of car-based CitizenBand systems for truckers? ... thinking more localized email, directions, tips of truckstops, not to mention the best beaver sightings somebody (Morgan?) made conjecture of advances in money wiring over cellphones... how about eclipsing of entire local walkytalky market of Motorola's? ... Nextel has some local system like an intranet of wireless when Gilder was asked what is the stock's path to look like, with Ericcson building the CDMA base, future path laid out, etc... he said "check the Intel stock from 1987"... take a look for yourself... we are not talking about JUST a 10-bagger here... could be 100-200 bagger by 2010 not much in technical justification, but my reality based opinion... got my feet planted on the ground a tech sharecropper / jim
