Hi Kemble,
Here is a report from the streets of Austin for ya.
Went to your favorite store today, Dell Factory Outlet.
Finally broke down and decided to get a nice Lattitude 7000.
Store was packed as usual, but to my disappointment NO Notebook Refurbs whatsoever. When I asked
the salesman for the reason, he told me that the refurbs are customer returns and that the return rate has
been very low versus the demand for those machines. Talking about slow down, ya right.
So I went on to Home Depot. The nice Lady helping me with some blinds for my RV, told me that her
husband works at Dell in Management. I asked her if he was worried about the recent stock action. She
said, not very much, way to busy.
I always enjoy reading your posts, your everlasting optimism makes me chuckle. Not that I would ever
let your 'slanted' view of trust and confidence in Dell influence my investment decisions, but guess what,
I do share that view with you to a very high degree.
Over the years, I got to know a lot of Dell people. Heck, I met Tom Meredith, when he first came to
town. (I fixed up his new house for him and his family). And let me tell you, Tom and Lynn Meredith
are some fine folks, the deep down quality kind of people!
That same year there was a pumpkin carving contest at the Meredith's.
I beat Michael Dell with my creation and won the first price, a bottle of wine. Want to know what Michael carved in his pumpkin? IBM , hehe.
The trust in Management is what keeps me in Dell AND one other thing, you never mention: "they" have a lot more at stake than you and me and everyone combined on this thread....
enough reason for me!
BUY DELL
regards
