I had been wondering the same thing. But last weekend Bob commented that it's conceivable there could be a 5% upside in the coming weeks, when responding to a caller who said that he would not be able to touch his portfolio for a period of several weeks, and had only a few days to decide whether to be in or out. Also, Bob said Saturday that he expects at least one of the major indices to hit a new high. (I assume he meant within the next month or two).

That said, your question is still a good one. At this point I am continuing to reduce my exposure to the higher-p/e stocks.
