Good advice, Herman, and that's probably exactly what I'll do. I do sometimes jump right in, and while I paper traded for a while there is nothing like the real thing. Actually though, the main reason I asked that question about the strangle was just to get a better understanding of that strategy. In other words, if one were in the postion to try it, would it be a good idea? Ray
