Yaacov, In your civil war scenario, who would most military officers throw in with? I submit it is unknown. Most folks would say Zyuganov, but I would not underestimate the influence of Aleksandr Lebed. He is greatly respected by the military, and lately he has been garnering support of some civilians by reminding them of their cultural tradition. He has made speeches encouraging the reunification of church and state and has several monarchists as advisors. He was also the only presidential contender to attend the interment ceremony of the sacred martyrs who were murdered by the Bolsheviks. Couple this with the fact that there is an icon (I think its a painting) of Tsar Nicholas making the rounds, which reports say is "weeping and exudes a fragrant odor." This icon has quite a following according to a CNN online report from about two months ago. I would not underestimate the power of these forces, we live in unusual times. Yours, Charles
