myth or religion but on science.<
And I presume we both agree that these attempt are built on contortions of logic. There is no science of morality. Oh sure, "bioethics", but as science it is tentative. Neat beer talk.
The ultimate source of morality and/or ethics does seem to bring us back every time to First Principles. For anyone with faith, religion provides a perfect set of those.
For those of us who are leery of religion and its underlying faith structure, it gets harder.
I'm left with a position like Cobalt's - try to pick out what works. It's a lousy setup - but it's the best I got. :-)
