Yes, the new StrongARM is awesome. But I see two problems:
1. The embedded applications for SAII are moving to a more custom chip market where each chip is a System-on-a-Chip targeted toward an exact application or even toward one customer.
2. These markets have lower margins than Intel is used to.

Just turning out an awesome piece of silicon is not enough. Intel will have to make some big adjustments if they expect to rule in this market. (And I think that they do expect to rule.)
