a special one- Very interesting post

I have to admit you surprised me by posting again at all. I am very interested in your comments. I have contacted several EMS personnel that were involved in the field test. My only problem with your post is that you give names but no telephone numbers for followup. Also you do not state which EMS unit they work for (except Bill Brem of St Cloud- Fire Dept which I have not seen on any of the news releases as a listed test site) so there is no way to call the unit's personnel office to get their number. If you would be so kind as to provide a telephone number I would gladly call them. I am confused how the field trial can be just beginning as Pyng has stopped pilot production.

I have called Rural Metro's main office to get contacts with which to follow up but have not found anyone that would talk to me. May I ask the name of the person you talked to, I still have the personnel manager's number. I did call the local unit of RM in San Diego in Nov/Dec and the person I spoke to had not heard of the FAST 1. But I do not remember the RM San Diego unit being listed as a test site in any of the PRs. Although it was mentioned to me as a possible site also.

My understanding of the field trial purpose was to help Pyng refine the final design of the product, provide Pyng with data to support their claims as to device access time and flow rate and give them some independent exposure to the EMS market . I am sure that each site will develop their own form of testing before instituting the FAST 1 in their system protocol. And your statement that state approval (maybe county approval) and local medical board approval will be required for any customer is consistent with my information. This could be a lengthy process 3 to 5 years sounds extreme, but the data gathered from field testing should provide a basis for these approvals.

But as reported by Pyng the field trials are over for Pyng when they say they are over. As Pyng has stopped pilot production they do not seem to be interested in finding new field trial sites or concerned about keeping the sites used for field testing supplied with product. I think this is a dangerous move. But I am willing to defer to their knowledge of the status of the competition's products and the market.

You seem to be forgetting that Pyng used at least 12 sites for testing and that the first 50 use data has been compiled and presented at a recent EMS conference in Boston. Although we have not heard any news from the presentation, just having their data presented by an independent source appears very positive to me. It would be nice to see the poster presentation on the website.

I agree that additional funding will probably be required as explained in a previous post and also see dilution in the future hopefully not on the scale of the last year.

I agree that management is just as important as the product itself. Your comments have certainly made me think. And I hope that Mr. Jacobs will respond to your comments as they are exceptionally clear. If there is no management response to these accusations I think that you may get your wish.

The only real problem I have with your post is if you are not short, what is in it for you. Unless you just want to drive the price down to buy it cheap. Thanks for responding and please provide the telephone numbers or company affiliations. If you do not want to post it publicly send me a PM or email to wrayfield @yahoo.com.
