That is a tough call! Lebed chances to win the next election at the present time is better than any other politician in Russia! I don't
know what kind of politician this bear of a man is, but he commands
respect. I believe the officers and the army units will follow Lebed than Zuyganov.
Lebed, as you know, brokered the peace with Tchetchnya,
and he is a power base in Sibireia. Zuyganov is supported by the senior citizens and pensioners. I don't believe he carries enouhg
weight to get backing form any major army units. Now, if he gets
throughs in his force with the nationalists, then he can be a counter
weight!
Now let me gives you another senerio. The leaders of the next
russian civil war have yet to come forward. The war may begins
with some of the characters we know now, but the real leaders are
could emerge later.
I would not underestimate the
power of these forces, we live in unusual times. ><
Agreed! And Russians are unusal people!
