"When in the history of DELL, CPQ, IBM, MSFT were they ever valued at anywhere near such forward looking, acid tripping levels?"

Just for a reality check, if we use the stat most in amzn's favor, Msft has been selling at over 20x 1999 calendar year revenues. Amzn is selling at about 11x projected 1999 revenues. Try not to take this out of context; I admit to using the only favorable comparison, but some of the bears' arguments are deteriorating. It will be YEARS before any of us know what the end result of Amzn's tactics will be. I believe they have a shot to be the number one retail portal in the new communication era. I have NO idea what that is worth now or in 5 years.
