Irgun, Hagannah, and Stern were all terrorist groups murdering both Palestinians and British. Two prominent leaders of these terrorist gangs were Begin and Shamir. Begin later admitted that "modern Israel would never have existed without Deir Yassin". Pretty scarry comment from one that participated in planning the massacres.
Begin and Shamir were later rewarded for their terrorists activities by being elected as Prime Ministers of Israel.
In conclusion, the terrorism against the Palestinians was not carried out by a few deranged Jews, it was official Zionist policy designed by the Zionist leaders themselves.
