While your response is the accepted norm and what we are supposed to believe, I did a little research whenI was considering making my private site public and was amazed at what I found out.

Cookies can be read by sites other than your own and are used by "other" sites to decide what types of ads to run when youvisit them. If you have a multitude of cookies from investment sites, you will get all investment ads at the "better" sites that use cookie scans, if you frequent porn sites, you will get mostly those types of ads. Even many of the book sellers will aim the new releases ads to the type of sites you frequent.

It is for that reason I stay away from geocites and MSN sites as they are some of the most prolific cookie spammers on the the web. If I have to click no when promted for acceptance of cookies more than 3 times on a site, I am gone and usually more than twice will keep me from being a repeat customer unless it is a great site.

JMHO,,Good Luck,

Lee
