There was a lot of wisdom in your post, but you failed miserably when you came to the Jews as God's chosen. The Hebrew Jews of the Old Testament were the chosen of God. Modern Jews are the Hebrew Jews of the OT. A brief look at the face of Israel will reveal black Ethiopian Jews, Arab-semitic Jews, Spanish Sephardic Jews, Ashkenazic-Khazar Jews, Oriental Jews and white European Jews.
Modern Judaism is a religion and not a race. Modern Jews are not the ethnic descendants of Abraham, but a mixture of all races.
The ancient Hebrew Jews were the children of Abraham. The Levitical priests kept a divine genealogy in the Temple to verify who was and was not descended from Abraham.
In addition, the New Testament defines a Jews as one who believes in Jesus Christ and is circumcised in the heart, not in the flesh. Rom.2:28,29 and Gal.3:28,29. Under the New Covenant in Jesus, a Jew is one who has accepted Jesus as his Messiah. Under the dead old covenant, a Jew was one who was descended from Abraham and the twelve tribes. |
