Wow, the gang is still intact.
Maurice - I know you mean well and are a good person, but the libertarian approach to drug use / approval, and the unrelented attacks on the FDA (which you repeat often enough so they've lost their edge) are nonsense. The FDA has streamlined procedures over the past 6 years, and the number of drugs brought to market has been increasing, and the timeframe for approval has shrunk. Still more needs to be done, but the FDA has been criticized by many who feel they approve drugs that later need to be pulled for due to reported dangerous side affects. In any event, anarchy in the testing of drugs, and selection of therapies won't solve any problems. And if you believe, then that it'd be the FDA's job to prosecute the frauds - how can they prosecute without scientific testing - that they've designed and reviewed? Anyway, you have considerable intellect that could best be served with your excellent posts related to comparing current cancer technologies (but please Not on the reverse split). Please read reviewer1 response to your ideas on the Yahoo thread.
Davis - Hope you're right on accelerated approval, but you have no way of knowing - but seems like a good educated guess (or at least my wishful thinking). Could you elaborate more on your optimism? |
