Has anyone read John Ehler's book Mesa and Trading Market Cycles? Any comments? Any comments on the Mesa sine wave indicator in Metastock? -- Keith, Since you haven't gotten any other answers yet, I'll volunteer the (very) little I know. Fourier analysis and Wavelets are the approaches I'm aware of for filtering price data to find cycles, neither of which is available in Metastock. As I understand it, subtracting a moving average is one common method to get a de-trended price series to do further analysis on.
