>>Myself and James Tuppen (the man that lead our capping team) are both with Boots & Coots.
We would like to thank the people of Bakersfield for their kindness and hospitality. We also want to thank Bob Christe (with this newpaper) for his accurate reporting (for a news hound he did a good job). We also want to thank Jim Fox (w/ Driltec) and Neal Darling (Bellevue) for their help and assistance. Both James and I were at the job site at the end to help Don Shakelford (Halliburton) with the kill that was successful this past Friday the 28th of May. BJ Services did an excellent job working under this Halliburton man's supervision this had to be an industry first.
Jin Wooduff (John Wright Co.) coordinated the successful directional intercept using Halliburton Directional Services.
The Nabors crew did a great job following directions and implementing this relief well. Both James and I want to thank them also for the help they gave us duriing the capping effort last year.
Geo mud did an excellent job in handling the kill fluids and must also be thanked.
Weatherford Wellcat must also be thanks for theier help in the capping equipment and diversion monitoring.
Pacific Processing also is to the be thanks for the great job done in handling the diverted flow.
I know that many other individuals may be missed and I hope they know that we respect all those many individuals and companys that participated in controling this very significant blowout. This was likely the largest onshore blowout in the USA in many years.
If anyone would like to contact Boots & Coots you now have my e-mail and our phone number is 1-800-BLOWOUT. This was the number that was called that started this control effort.
Much Thanks, Larry and James
