I like SWS here,, in mid 60s ,, logic behind ?
As a comparison ,,
NITE has pe of 70 and eps of 1.10 at 40 milll float with 110.8 mill shares out ,, appx ,,
SWS has pe of 30 and eps of 2.21 , expected to come in at 2.71 for 1999 at 7.9 mil float and 10.7 mill shares out ,, I belive ,, as sellers are almost out ,, BOP basing and with any upturn, this stock can move 10 points up in a day , as we have observed as we bought it at 73 1/2 and it went to 96 in 2 days .. I think we will see 140 + and a split soon,, as we have seen with NITE,, oh ,, SWS also owns shares of NITE ,, at a very cheap premium.
Our recent pick DIR ar 33 1/2 and now 43 , in 2 sessions,, I feel 55 is doable from here , why ? A very simple valuation of EGRP and SCH should be used in this case ,, further DLJ DIR and Equitable as well as host of other companies are all under same umbrella,, I see a major support here ,, by the very distinguished chairman of the group.
Both of these companies are safe in terms of aggressive growth ,, for e brokerages,, this is the beginning.
Lastly SFE , a stock that Societe Anonyme has been following since low 20s ,, as an incubator of i-net companies with option for SFE common holders to receive new IPO shares, is a powerful attraction for this company,, further with pe of 19 and eps of 3.78 , this is a very undervalued i-net incubator ,,
