I didn't ask for a lecture and don't know what prompted it. All I asked is what "distribution" meant. Thanks for the definition; it is not what I would have thought. "Distribution" in securities law means that a stock is being sold to the public and that it is having a wider distribution among a larger number of shareholders. It's almost the opposite of "under accumulation" where investors are increasing the number of shares of a particular stock held by them by buying from a large number of shareholders.
