Stephan, I regret the pain that you and others are experiencing by holding RSYS. I don't want to add to your discomfort level, but I haven't seen any technical indicator turn positive on this stock in the past week. So the prediction from your TA buds really surprised me. You're right that buy and sell signals can be wrong. But you try to get confirmation of signals from different technical indicators.

BTW, this is not a thinly traded stock.
The average daily volume is about 300,000.
I identify thinly traded stocks by the spreads (bid and ask): greater than 1/4 point.

There are things that seem significant to me about RSYS that people in this thread don't seem to want to talk about.

1. The short intersest is huge.

Last month there were 1.45 million shares short out of a 4.4 million float. That means 1/3 of the stock on the market is short. That means professional short sellers are in this. That could mean there's something seriously wrong in the companies financials beneath the surface. I was hoping that someone out there might have a clue about where the problem might be... Short interest for March should be coming out pretty soon. One would expect the amount of stock shorted to decrease. But why would you cover a short position when the price keeps falling. Someday this stock will reverse and have a nice spike to the upside because of a short squeeze.

2. Insider selling is significant.

Tektronix sold 240,000 shares in December. The number of insider sells, not option related, appear to be increasing. That may change with the stock price as low as it is...

I think this stock is headed to test the low from last July. RSYS is at a critical support level. It looks like it's breaking down to me.

The good news is that the Tech Stocks held up pretty well today compared to the rest of the market. They could lead the market out of this interest rate related downturn... And the PE for RSYS is getting to a reasonable level. Pretty soon RSYS could be a value play.

I watching/waiting for the reversal to buy. I think I've missed the chance to short RSYS.

Alex
