I think that --as I said-- what I may do is short IIX. Anything that is up 300% in a year is badly overbought--stock or index. Indeed, that kind of rise occurs only in genuine manias. It is quite comparable to when gold rose to nearly $800 an ounce. If I took a short position at its current level, I think I could ride out a 150-point rise and eventually get my margin back. That may seem improbable, but the madness we have seen seems to have no limits.
