Iron Butterfly Star Gone Missing: Our "Where Is He Now?" Segment
Here's a real-life mystery worthy of the X-Files. As reported in Variety, former Iron Butterfly lead singer Philip "Taylor" Kramer is missing, big time. Here's the dirt. . .
After creating a hit with "In a Gadda Da Vida," Kramer went on to form the Total Multimedia company, which had exclusive rights to certain video compression technology. The technology is currently used by such companies as Compton's New Media and Spectrum Holobyte. Total Multimedia, which is funded in large part by Randy Jackson (Michael J's brother), was apparently on the eve of announcing a major technology breakthrough.
On the morning of February 12, Kramer went to meet a business associate at LAX. But he never met the associate and never returned. The uber-cheesy tabloid The Globe recently claimed that he was "kidnapped by foreign spies," because he had discovere d a way to send information throughout the world by harnessing the forces of gravity. That's heavy, man. While some scoff, Congressman James Traficant, Jr., has stressed the importance of the case to the FBI, fearing for national security. Conspiracy theory, anyone? But we're convinced the Truth is Out There: If only they knew where the hell "in a gadda da vida" is, they might find him.

Also here's an interesting link that Kramer was found in Montana.
