Gee, impulses with natural selection behind them can only go so far, Del. I think girls who have not been sexually, physically, or emotionally abused are much more capable of actualizing their romantic fantasies by finding a nice guy who will treat them well and stay with them, than really damaged girls are. Also, as I know you would agree, this puritanical society has not come to grips with responding sensibly to the reality that most teenagers become sexually active at some point before they settle down with one person. The European way of nonjudgmental sex education and easy access to birth control would certainly allow for teenage sexual experimentation without the huge pregnancy rate that we have here. Although it is at least dropping according to the latest statistics I read! And more teenagers are delaying sex, as well.
