The reality of shorting on a day like today is very difficult. I had a game plan today of shorts and longs. Guess what; it was nearly impossible to get an uptick on any issues that were likely candidates. By the time you did get an uptick, momentum was way overdue for a runup. Just when momentum would stall, you had all of 2 minutes on average to get an order placed and confirmed before it downticked. The worst was VTSS. Even when it had a runup on half the ground it had lost, the uptick stayed green for 1 minute. In essence it ain't as easy as one might think to short when the dung hits the fan.
