MSFT suffering from IBM Syndrome??

This windows CE situation reminds me of how IBM tripped all over itself by allowing every one in the company to have inputs into how their OS version of windows should work. Everyone was wanting compaiabilities with other existing computers and software. In the end, It was the customers who decided they could care less about these compatibilities. They rejected OS in mass and went for Windows.

I understand that PSION's EPOC is a slick, efficient, mature OS. Probably, it's much better than CE. MSFT, does, of course have a lot of resources & momentum to push CE into the market whether it is efficient or not. Most Americans know nothing of EPOC. Most Europeans know that their favorite PDA by PSION and its EPOC OS are being threatened by that nasty billionare, Bill Gates.

The question for QCOM is whether they have rights to use EPOC and whether they are persuing EPOC and CE sumultaneously. ARE THEY??
