Toronto stocks open higher, banks strong Toronto Dominion Bank (Toronto:TD.TO - news) gained C$2 to C$79.80. On Thursday, the bank announced an increase in its quarterly common share dividend and said it also intends to split its stock 2-for-1. Bank of Nova Scotia also inched up 30 Canadian cents to C$32.25 on Monday. biz.yahoo.com
