To Uncle Frank: What we are all wrestling with is "opportunity cost" which is one of the few valid economic principles, i.e. it is weighing alternatives (companies) for the opportunity for gain in the future that counts, the past is "sunk costs". [Excluding tax considerations]. Therefore the question is which company has the best chance for rapid revenue gain, earnings acceleration and therefore (still more of a hope than a promise) stock price appreciation over the next 3 to 5 years. This is where concentration beats broad diversification IMO. Easier to pick areas, fields, industries or technologies where rapid (even explosive) growth is occuring and then go with the leaders there than it is to pick at random. Just an approach. Chaz too
