The WSJ just had an article a week ago about acquisitions that compared companies that purchased other companies with cash against companies that purchased other companiew with stock, and companies that made no purchase. Companies that made acquisitions with cash slightly outperformed the market over the next year. Companies that made acquisitions with stock significantly underperformed the market. Carl
