More correctly, it's acknowledging that the judges are bought and paid for and the jury is rigged.
Cynical, aren't you?
Actually, though, if the judges are bought and paid for, they have been bought and paid for by Nato countries, not by the Serbians. the court in in the Hague, Netherlands; it is supported primarily by Western dollars. So if anybody has a complaint about unjust rulings, it is the Serbs, not the US. But I note that it is the Serbs who have gone to this court for justice. Nato never went to try to present their case. In fact, the Western response to the Yugoslav suit was to refuse to respond substantively, but to try to get it thrown out on jurisdictional grounds. In other words, we don't even trust our own "bought and paid for" court to rule in our favor, but want to keep it from ruling on the facts at all.
Which is probably pretty smart, because when the facts and law are laid on the table, the case is so obvious that even a bought and paid for judge won't be able to find a credible basis for ruling in favor of Nato. |
