Just remember on after hours that the first numbers may or may NOT be so good. The Nasdaq is sorta shooting itself in the foot by ONLY offering the Nasdaq 100 index stocks. I mean, We CAN'T even trade EGRP ! (they should have at least gave us the midcap 400 too)

What I am saying is that the more stocks offered, the more trades.
Obviously, the online brokerages have the most to gain, electronics will cost basically NOTHING to them. I can see why the brick and mortar guys are creating all kinds of things to downplay afterhours. It's simple, they WON'T stand to make a penny out of it.

I also think that it will make some of the news releases come out now on a more timely basis. It takes some edge away from funds too. When news is released after hours, Instutions can still trade. This edge will be taken away from them so they are crying too. Individuals deserve a fair playing field. This afterhours gives it to us.
If I was one that placed open orders at night, I know I would rather be sure I got the fill and do it at night. Siebert was wrong, MANY WILL trade at night !

This is all just IMO, so be careful and do your own DD. I am excited about this. I just want everything to be available to us.
