Skeeter - i wouldn't be surprised with slight price increases though - you are getting about 4 times of what REALLY matters.

I agree from a consumer point of view, but Katherine is talking about something different - that for whatever reason the average price of chips in toto (revenues for all chips of all types divided by total number of chips sold) tends to increase over time and in those occasions where it decreases it tends to signal a top in the semiconductor equipment market. Just a clarification. As she says, she doesn't understand why it works, just that empirically it does.
