This seems like an appropriate time and place to say thanks to those who have died in the service of this country and to thank those who are putting their lives on the line as we speak.
Especially, I want to use this opportunity to remember my good friends Sgt. John Hurley, and A1C "Guppy" Matejov, both USAF, who died in Southeast Asia in 1972 and 1973, respectively, and Sgt. Jim McDonough, USMC who died in Beruit Lebanon, 10/23/83.
While I'm at it, I'd like to remember Gunnery Sgt. Carlos Hathcock, USMC, a true hero and a legend, who died in Febuary following a long bout with multiple schlerosis.
Take care guys. Remember, "This shit ain't shit". I love ya' and I'm having a cold one for all of you. And Guppy, you still owe me $5 and a carton of tax exempt Kools. |
