Interesting thoughts on the 73-74 period. Based on the data provided
by Wren for 73 and Yahoo for 1999, I prepared the following table.

Company 1973 P/E 1999 P/E
Disney 70 39
McDonalds 83 34
Avon 63 52
Eastman Kodak 47 16
Coca Cola 47 50
IBM 38 33

Maybe the current market isn't as overvalued as it sometimes gets. On
the other hand, maybe we should compare the 1973 P/E for Disney to
the 1999 P/E for AOL or some other "hot stock."
