... I know sevearl guys who are mid-7 to low 8 digit investors who are still active on this board. They have no intetion to be on islands.
Oops, sorry, Larry, my bad. I forgot that it takes at least 9 digits to live on an island. Let's see, 9 digits is... 100 million dollars? Is that right? I'm not real good at this cyphering stuff. And here I thought that there were some people living in Hawaii, the Keys, or the Caribbean that had less than 10 million, or even 1 million. But hey, what do I know, right. So I guess I will just have to extend the lease on my trailer. Thanks for helping me plan out my future.
About your bet, tell you what. If I am living in the islands in five years without working, but just on whatever income I have from my retirement, pensions, and my savings, you owe my 1M, if not I will pay you 200k, how about it?
Oh, about the street shorting nets and health, I don't doubt that is true. But will they short these sectors for the next five years, with commerce moving to the net and with boomers' health care needs increasing for the next 5 to 25 years? Seems a bit risky. And when they start covering, they will contribute to my island retirement fund.
