CSX Corp., MCI among stocks to watch

(excerpt)MCI WorldCom (WCOM: news, msgs), the second-largest U.S. long-distance phone carrier, said Friday it'll buy paging provider SkyTel (SKYT: news, msgs) in a deal valued at about $1.28 billion, just days after it appeared to deny reports that an acquisition was imminent. Ahead of the announcement, MCI rose 1 7/116 to 86 3/8, while SkyTel added 1 to 20 5/16. See related story.
