September 1, IMO is the outside date. They will do the heavy lifting with the 10 day and 60 day look backs. With computers and the need they should be able to complete the analysis of the last 30 day look back in 15 days. If a local supermarket can stay open every day of the year except Dec. 25., then I really think for a life and death issue they should be able to work at least 12 hours per day and on weekends to get the data analyzed.

Disclaimer, I have never even seen the data from any clinical trial. If I had I would not how how to analyze it, nor in fact even what it meant. Even so I think I would be able to hire the person or persons that could and get the results within 15 days after the final data was unblinded.

After the 10 day information is unblinded why can't some final conclusions be reached about mortality, based on deaths at the 10 th. day and upon changes of one or two or more deaths in either arm at a later date? I don't want to go on and on because I can hear the laughter even as I post. Sorry, I don't buy into the idea that this data is so complex that it can't be done in 15 days. Remember also that the 90 day lookback for the majority of subjects has already occurred for anyone enrolled in the trial by the end of February 1999. Admit I don't know if the data gets unblinded patient by patient or only 90 days after the end of the entire trial.

Thinking out loud, everyone that wants to please tell me everything that is wrong with my silly post!
