Thanks for that link. As you know, Com21's President & CEO Peter Fenner has been in NY last week talking to IR press on Com21's business model. Business is strong and the fundamentals have not changed despite recent stock jitters.

Spec sheet on Com21's DOCSIS-compliant cable modem:
com21.com

Our next generation DOCSIS v1.1 cable modems will extend the feature set with USB and an all-new enclosure design as well as an on-board VoIP version. Com21 is actively participating in the CableLabs' "PacketCable" efforts to develop Voice-over-IP standards and will produce standard compliant voice products.

Back to your original question ? Will Com21 develop DOCSIS-compliant headends ? Without a doubt ! They're pushing the standards well-beyond simple 1.0 compliance and are not promulgating propriatory products, not their style.

Quick, change the subject ! Here's another jam-packed site that's good for 100 hours of links !
