So... Let me see if I get this straight. SFAM went to $17 on its own as a valuation play then the news of AMAT buying Obsidian was seen as negative to SFAM and its stock went back down?

My new thought....
Often a small, niche company can make great gains in market share when larger companies are limited by a long backlog and other more profitable business to invest in. If AMAT and Lam are pretty much sold out on capacity, then there is room for smaller companies to step in even if they don't have the best product - they make up for it with support and responsiveness. This requires that the recovery is real and semicap orders will continue to grow...

Just mutterings to stir discussion.

thanks
