Pau;, re: "PS : Maybe your 10 year old should get the new "Copper-Thing" and Dad should keep the obsolete 450 MHz Pentium ///.

Not a chance in hell. Ten-Year-Olds are incredibly good at gaming. When he gets my PIII, I'll need at least a 767 MHz Copper-Thing just to keep parity.

re: "but AMD's disastrous record on delivery has made the K63 a "non-issue" CPU."

If and when AMD ever delivers the K=7, Guiness will need to create a new place in their recordbook to hold "the most past due delivery of a CPU". I am convinced that INTC already has mega-GHz CPUs running in their lab and that they intend to let out 600MHz, 800 MHz, 1 GHz and then multi-GHz CPUs over the years only as AMD manages to come close to their marks.

AMD must feel like the richest and handsomest guy in Lesbos. No matter how hard he gets or tries, he still can't get laid.
