OT RTev, I live in Ontario, run by a conservative party. However, even this "right" party would still be considered liberal by US standards ( ie Democrats). A "right" party in Europe would simply be called "communist" by people like blankmind.
I guess the universal healthcare, welfare, and no guns policies would just be too radical and insane for some Americans. To Canadians and Europeans, not having universal healthcare etc. would be considered insane.
I am also surprised by how right-conservative this thread is. We probably have many more fiercely conservative investors posting than liberal high tech workers.

BTW-I don't hate the views from the "right". I find them interesting since it gives me a little Window on US politics. Who knows, they may be right, taking a longer perspective on the issues i have noted above.
