Both westell and amati have home pages, the usual www.xxxxx.com address. Amati has a connection to the ADSL forum that gives all the product technical information and the group of companies that plans to bring this to market. The technical concept has been tested and works. I can not find what the modems cost to day, but there is a impressive group of chip makers that are designing components to bring the cost down. I have not been able to find out what is the target price for these engineering groups. My thoughts are it can be slightly higher than IDSN since the speed is faster. In other communications Southwestern bell has said they are going to make the capital investments and charge a monthly fee for new communications technologies. They believe this will get the technology in place at a more rapid rate, and available to a larger number of customers.

I think you are right, the technology will not be there tomorrow, but looks like southwestern bell plans to be out of the gate late in 1996.

I am interested if you have any information on AMTX and WCTL's trading history. They both have only been trading in the last 15 or so days.

Looks like Winstar is slowly moving in the right direction.
