LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 1, 1999--First Miracle Group, Inc. MVEE and Emmett/Furla Films announced today the commencement of principle photography on After Sex.

The project, to be filmed in Los Angeles, will be produced by Randall Emmett, George Furla, and Jeff Rice (producers of Speedway Junky), with Executive Producers Tony Cataldo, Menahem Golan, David Glasser and Adam Stone. The film will be distributed internationally through Cutting Edge Entertainment as part of a previously announced multi-picture distribution agreement.

After Sex is the sophomore directorial effort of Cameron Thor, director of Shaded Places starring Christina Applegate and Molly Ringwald. The project, based on an original screenplay by Thomas M. Kostigen, stars Dan Cortese (NBC's Veronica's Closet), Virginia Madsen (The Rainmaker), Maria Pittilo (Godzilla), Johnathon Schaech (That Thing You Do), Brooke Shields (NBC's Suddenly Susan), and DB Sweeney (Eight Men Out).

After Sex is a touching romantic comedy which examines sex and the "modern relationship" through the eyes of seven young adults. The four men and three women are each forced to deal with the personal turmoil which ensues following a wild weekend in Palm Springs.

This August, First Miracle and Emmett/Furla Films will also collaborate on the feature film Held for Ransom, based on the novel Ransom by Lois Duncan (author of I Know What You Did Last Summer). The screen adaptation of Ransom will be written and directed by Emmy Award winner Lee Stanley and will be distributed internationally through Cutting Edge Entertainment.

First Miracle is an independent film production company focused on the development of full-length features in a number of popular genres, including comedy, action, and drama.
