I have some bad news for you. I can empathize with your tax plight, particularly since I am a Canadian and I think that our own tax rates make American rates look good in comparison to ours however, as I said, I am a Canadian and consequently have to reserve judgement on the American tax system. Ask me about Canada and I'll give you an earful!

In addition to this, I mostly created this thread to divert political discussion away from the joke thread. To me a joke's a joke and politic's is politics. Sometimes even I have a hard time telling the difference between the two but that's a different story. Suffice it to say I've created this thread in order to act as buffer between the two and hope that everyone on SI benefits appropriately from it.
