Steve, you are correct. Also, keep in mind that IR believes there is a huge short position by the MMs. If this is true, the MM's will have to cover later at much higher prices.

But, like my previous post. I've seen it many a time with good news, stocks gap up, goes down, then takes off the rest of the day and continues.
